The
fumes from
all petroleum products will kill the germination of your chufas. This
means:
Do not store chufas anywhere you would not want to store small children
or
puppies, such as a closed shed with lawn mowers, weed eaters, gas, or
paint
thinner; currently operating moonshine stills, or meth labs.
Even carrying
the chufas to the planting site in the back of a Ford Explorer with
cans of
diesel fuel have been known to cause crop failure, and the failure rate
nears
100% if the driver also owns a Saab.
